After conquering music and film, looks like rapper DMX is taking a stab at the clothing industry with the launch of DMX Authentic and Earl Simmons Signature Collection.
According to representatives, the line will border on the "rough edge of hip-hop mixed with the practicality of the no nonsense, no frills clothing that active and rugged men want." "Real clothing for real people is the inspiration in what many refer to as the 'X Factor' in the DMX apparel collections," says a source from DMX's design team.
The line will go after the young, aggressive, and hip market looking for clothing to match their lifestyle. Only high-quality fabrics with state of the art graphic treatments and designs that reflect what people want in contemporary clothing today.
DMX, reportedly, handpicked a team to interpret his vision.
While DMX Authentic offers basic pieces and the Earl Simmons Signature Collection offers higher-end specialty pieces, according to the company.
Both collections will be available to the public in February 2007 via specialty stores and online retail sites.
