R. Kelly is stepping up to help Virginia Tech heal. The R&B singer has penned a new track, "Rise Up," about recovering after the April 16 shootings, The Associated Press reports. The inspirational ballad, which will be available digitally May 15, features the lyrics "Rise up, when you feel you can't go on, rise up, and all of your hope is gone, rise up, when you're weak and you can't be strong." All proceeds from sales will go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, which was created to aid the families of the victims.

Sean Paul of The YoungBloodZ has changed his name to Sean P and is planning the release of his new solo album, which is due in stores in summer 2007.  The new album is being recorded in Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles.
